Verifiability
Both a dollar and gold may be counterfeit though they appear to be real, though this is relatively rarely problematic in either case. Bitcoin itself cannot be counterfeit, but people can nonetheless come up with difficult to detect scams targeting newcomers to the space who do not understand that they are being duped. Dollars, gold, and Bitcoin are all reasonably easily verifiable with certainty by those who take the correct approach to confirming such is the case.
